Citrus Heights Academy

Citrus Heights Academy is unique in that we are a small school with a "family" feel. Out staff knows all the kids and we work together to make sure we are all on the same page. We are a Christian school for Christian kids utilizing Alpha Omega curriculum; LifePacs for grades 3-5, and fully computerized Switched On Schoolhouse for grades 6-12. Currently we have a total enrollment of 55. This means your child gets very close contact with the teachers in small classroom settings. When entering CHA, the kids are tested to determine an appropriate curriculum level and also to determine if they may need any remediation. The kids are assigned an "office" area when they each have their own computer. A typical day is broken up into 45 minutes classes as well as some "study" periods to complete assignments. In the afternoons on Tuesdays and Thursdays the kids have PE and Mondays and Fridays other electives. Lunch is from 12:45-1:30. They have 20 minutes to eat and the remainder of the time to unwind and play some ball or just sit and talk. We have a concession where sodas, chips and hot dogs and pizza (on Thursdays) can be purchased.

CHA has a uniform policy where students can purchase Citrus Heights Academy polos for Monday through Thursday and a special T-Shirt for Fridays. A khaki colored shorts, pants, capris or skirts are acceptable (just no cargo pants). On Fridays students may wear jeans or other appropriate bottoms with their school T-Shirt. (It's our "controlled" casual day :-)

Our school day is from 8:30-3:00, except for early dismissal on Wednesdays at 1:00.

CHA strongly believes that with the family, church and school working together we can have a much greater impact on the student's lives. With this in mind, one other requirement of CHA is that our families commit to attend a Bible believing church on a weekly basis. We also highly encourage them to find a ministry in which they can serve.
